Traveling Tips

For those out-of-town guests that will be only staying for the weekend, I recommend checking out the flights into Sacramento International Airport. This airport is about 40 min away from Cache Creek and Taber Ranch and has shuttle services that can take you to the casino.

Anyone wanting to save some $$$, there are a multitude of hotels located along the route to the casino, but of course, would only be accessible by rental car. Check out the Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express, both located on HWY 16 in Woodland, CA, which is on the way to and from Cache Creek

Cache Creek Casino

We've blocked off about 35 or so rooms at Cache Creek Casino for the evening of Saturday, June 19th, 2010, in preparation for out-of-town guests. When booking your room please reference the Harris/Cullen wedding. The casino is offering us a better price due to the fact that we've requested a block on so many rooms and we may be able to get a better price for anyone planning on staying for more than one night. If you know ahead of time that you'll be staying both Friday and Saturday night, please let one of us know so that we may work that out with the hotel. Cache Creek Casino offers dozens of ammentities, including spa treatments, a world class golf course, a multitude of restaurants, Friday night dancing and of course, gambling.

270 Days and Counting

Well, our original wedding date has come and gone, it's amazing to think that this might have all been over by now had we not gotten pregnant. Needless to say, we've re-upped our efforts in this whole wedding planning thing, as we both have a feeling that once little Zelly arrives there will be little to no time to plan much of anything! We've sent out an email requesting addresses and I believe we currently have quite a few. If we don't have yours, send it to either seth15c@hotmail.com or harris.gabrielle@gmail.com, please.
Save the date, June 19th, 2010, time to be determined! We are so excited to host our friends and family for our special day.

June Wedding Date Still Holding Strong

Well, as you all know, we are pregnant, the main reason for not getting married this September. The thought of being 8.5 months pregnant at my own wedding was just too daunting a task, really. On top of the fact that we figured more time would be best, as we want to host a fabulous day for you, our friends and family.
June 19th, 2010 is still our date, but be forewarned, with the new addition to our family, the festivities have been pared down considerably, but not the fun! Most likely we'll have a very minimal ceremony, early in the day, a full on picnic to follow, then games and dancing!
We are even more excited to see everyone now that we'll have a sweet baby girl to share our special day.

New Wedding Date

Hello wonderful friends and family. I'm sure most of you have heard from Seth or myself but I wanted to make the official announcement, Seth and I are postponing our wedding until Saturday, June 19th, 2010. There are several reasons as to why we've made this decision but the main reason is the fact that we just need more time to save and prepare for what we consider will be one of, if not, the best day our our lives, with all of you. All the location details remain the same, including lodging, so just look to next June as your destination time. It actually will be a better time anyways, especially since those interested in rafting Cache Creek will definitely be able to do so, the water will be high and rushing! We love and thank you all for your support!

San Francisco Bay Area: Destination Fun!

This post has been specially put together for our out-of-town guests who might decide to come into the Bay Area early for some sight-seeing.

September and October are the best months of the year in San Francisco. We have a gorgeous "Indian Summer." For some reason, the real Summer, you know, June, July, and August, tends to be cold and foggy. Please don't ask why, both Seth and Gabby stopped trying to understand this phenomena many years ago. Okay, so of course we'll be adding to this list of fun things in the bay the week of September 13th-20th, as the months roll along, but here are some main attractions

The Boy King  Returns to the De Young:  King Tut
**Gabby loves Egyptian artifacts and thinks this exhibit will be amazing!***

The San Francisco Giants will be playing a series of home games against the Colorado Rockies: 2009 Schedule
**Even if the Giant's aren't your favorite team, this ballpark is one of best in the league, definitley worth a day game in the bleachers for $10 bucks, Seth can vouch for this**

The Whales are Migrating: SF Whale Tours
**September is a good time to spot humpback whales(remember a couple of years ago when a mom and baby made it up to the Sacramento river??), blue whales and the sperm whale**

The Rock Alcatraz Island
**Gabby did this tour once, without the audio, and would recommend splurging on the headphones, it makes the experience all the more real.**

228 Days and Counting....More Pics of Taber Ranch

Here are more images of our location, TaberRanch

This place is so special, you wouldn't believe all the wildlife found on the 500-acre ranch. Besides the animals you DO NOT WANT TO STEP ON, such  the occiasonal rattlesnake(obviously my least favorite of the Taber Ranch Wildlife Association), also seen are deer, bobcats, egrets, blue heron, wild turkeys, California quail and bald eagles!
